The WALTER-TITEX 7684302 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding metalworking applications. It carries a TiSiAlCrN coating that extends tool life in abrasive and high-temperature cutting conditions. The bit measures 6 mm in diameter with a 140-degree point angle, a flute length of 144 mm, and an overall length of 182 mm. The straight-cylindrical shank and h7 diameter tolerance make it suitable for precision tool holding in CNC and manual setups. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and heat management at depth. It is used by machining professionals in production and job-shop environments.
This drill bit is engineered for blind hole, cross hole, inclined hole exit, and stack drilling operations. Its 20xD flute-to-diameter ratio gives it a maximum drilling depth of 135 mm, making it well suited for deep-hole work where standard-length bits fall short. Primary workpiece materials include alloy steel and titanium alloy. Secondary material compatibility extends to glass and graphite. The Series DC160-20-A1 designation places this bit within a consistent tooling family used across a range of machining centers and drill presses where rigid, coolant-fed toolholding is available.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and toolholding systems that accept a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for blind hole, cross hole, inclined hole exit, and stack drilling applications in alloy steel, titanium alloy, glass, and graphite workpieces. Meets ANSI and ISO standards.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with carbide tooling handling. Ensure the machine spindle and toolholder are powered down and at a complete stop before inserting or removing the bit. Carbide is brittle — avoid lateral loading, side impacts, or dropping the bit on hard surfaces. Verify coolant-through lines are clear and flowing at the correct pressure before beginning deep-hole drilling operations.
