The WALTER-TITEX 7684263 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit engineered for precision drilling in demanding industrial and machining applications. The bit measures 7.14 mm in diameter with a 140-degree split point, a flute length of 152 mm, and an overall length of 192 mm. The TiSiAlCrN coating provides thermal and wear resistance for extended tool life in high-speed or dry cutting conditions. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 8.00 mm in diameter with a shank length of 36 mm. This bit is sized in the Series DC160-16-A1 family and carries a flute-to-diameter ratio of 16xD, making it suitable for deep-hole drilling where standard-length bits cannot reach.
This drill bit is intended for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and precision machine tools in manufacturing and fabrication environments. It is suited for blind hole, cross hole, inclined hole exit, and stack drilling operations. Primary workpiece materials include alloy steel and titanium alloy. Secondary materials include glass and graphite. Right-hand cutting direction applies. This tool is commonly specified by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and aerospace fabricators working with tight-tolerance bores requiring a h7 diameter tolerance.
Designed for use in machining applications involving alloy steel, titanium alloy, glass, and graphite workpieces. Suitable for use in any machine tool accepting a straight-cylindrical shank with an 8.00 mm shank diameter. Refer to the Series DC160-16-A1 product family for related diameter and length options.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with carbide tooling. Secure the shank fully in the collet or chuck before operation and verify runout is within acceptable tolerance for the application. Solid carbide tooling is brittle and susceptible to breakage if subjected to side loading, interrupted cuts without proper setup, or excessive feed rates — consult the manufacturer cutting data for recommended speeds and feeds. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use and do not regrind without appropriate carbide grinding equipment.
