The WALTER-TITEX 7684259 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding industrial and trade applications. With a 0.25 inch (6.35 mm) cutting diameter, a 140-degree drill point angle, and a TiSiAlCrN coating, this bit delivers extended tool life and thermal resistance in difficult-to-machine materials. The 5.315-inch flute length and 6.89-inch overall length give it the reach needed for deep-hole work well beyond what standard-length bits can achieve. Right-hand cutting geometry and an h7 diameter tolerance ensure accurate, repeatable hole quality.
This bit is suited for blind hole drilling, cross hole drilling, inclined hole exit, and stack drilling operations. Primary workpiece materials include alloy steels and titanium alloys. Secondary applications cover glass and graphite. The 16xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports a maximum drilling depth of 4.882 inches (124 mm), making it a practical choice for aerospace, automotive, and precision machining environments where deep, accurate holes in tough materials are routine.

Designed for use in CNC machining centers and drilling machines that accept a 0.315-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and operation of this drill bit should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with carbide cutting tools. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank fully in a precision collet or chuck before operation, and verify runout within machine specifications before engaging the workpiece. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit, so appropriate surface-applied cutting fluid or mist coolant should be used when drilling titanium alloys or other thermally sensitive materials. Inspect the cutting edge for chipping before each use, as carbide tooling is brittle and should not be subjected to interrupted cuts or side loading beyond the tool design.
