The WALTER-TITEX 7577879 is a solid carbide micro drill bit engineered for precision drilling in demanding industrial and machining applications. Built to Series DB133-08-A1 specifications, it features an AlCrN coating for extended tool life and heat resistance at high cutting speeds. The drill measures 0.0472 inches in diameter with a 140-degree point angle, a flute length of 0.551 inches, and an overall length of 2.126 inches. A through-coolant design channels cutting fluid directly to the tip, reducing heat buildup and evacuating chips efficiently. Right-hand cut geometry and a straight-cylindrical shank make this drill compatible with standard collet and chuck systems. Machinists and tool room technicians are the primary users of this bit.
This micro drill bit is suited for blind hole, stack drilling, and through-hole drilling operations. Its primary target materials include cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, and steel. Secondary compatible materials include cobalt, glass, graphite, iron alloys, nickel, titanium, and titanium alloys. With a maximum drilling depth of 12.00 mm and an 8xD flute-by-diameter ratio, it handles deep, tight-tolerance bores where chip clearance and thermal management are critical. The shank diameter is 0.118 inches, conforming to DIN 6535 HA standards for precise spindle seating.
Designed for use in blind hole, stack drilling, and through-hole applications on cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, steel, cobalt, glass, graphite, iron alloys, nickel, titanium, and titanium alloys. Shank conforms to DIN 6535 HA for use in standard straight-bore collets and precision chucks.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC technicians familiar with micro-diameter tooling. Verify spindle runout before seating the shank, as even minor concentricity errors are amplified at 0.0472 inches diameter and can cause tool breakage. Ensure through-coolant supply is active and at adequate pressure before engaging the cut. Never force-feed a micro drill bit — use programmed feed rates appropriate to the workpiece material and consult the machine tool manufacturer for recommended spindle speeds.
