The WALTER-TITEX 7577849 is a solid carbide micro drill bit engineered for precision drilling in demanding industrial and machining applications. It features a 140-degree drill point angle, an AlCrN (aluminum chromium nitride) coating for extended tool life and heat resistance, and a straight-cylindrical shank conforming to DIN 6535 HA. At 0.0472 inches in diameter and 2.0080 inches overall length, this bit is purpose-built for tight-tolerance micro-hole work. The m7 diameter tolerance ensures consistent, repeatable results in production environments. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and thermal management during deep or high-cycle drilling operations.
This drill bit is rated for blind hole, stack, and through-hole drilling across a broad range of workpiece materials. Primary materials include cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, and steel. Secondary workpiece materials include cobalt alloys, glass, graphite, iron alloys, nickel, titanium, and titanium alloys. It is appropriate for CNC machining centers and precision drill press setups in aerospace, automotive, medical device, and general metalworking production environments. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports controlled chip flow in deeper cuts relative to bit diameter.
Series DB133-05-A1 is designed for use in CNC machining centers and precision drilling equipment with DIN 6535 HA-compatible collet or chuck systems. Suitable for blind hole, stack drilling, and through-hole applications in cast iron, stainless steel, steel, non-ferrous metals, cobalt alloys, titanium, and titanium alloys.
Installation should be performed by qualified machinists or tool-and-die professionals familiar with micro-diameter carbide tooling. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank in a DIN 6535 HA-compatible collet or precision drill chuck before operation. At micro diameters, carbide bits are susceptible to breakage from side loading or misalignment — verify spindle runout is within tolerance before drilling. Enable coolant-through flow prior to engaging the workpiece to prevent premature coating wear and thermal cracking.
