The WALTER-TITEX 7577837 is a solid carbide micro drill bit engineered for precision drilling in demanding materials. It features a 0.0276-inch diameter, a 140-degree drill point angle, and an AlCrN (aluminum chromium nitride) coating that extends tool life in high-temperature cutting conditions. The overall length is 1.89 inches with a straight-cylindrical shank diameter of 0.118 inches. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and heat management during deep or tight-tolerance drilling operations. This bit is built for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals requiring micro-diameter accuracy in production environments.
This drill bit is suited for blind hole drilling, stack drilling, and through-hole drilling applications. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron, non-ferrous metal, stainless steel, and steel. Secondary workpiece materials include cobalt, glass, graphite, iron alloy, nickel, titanium, and titanium alloy. The 5xD flute-by-diameter ratio and 6.00 mm flute length make it appropriate for controlled-depth micro drilling in both prototype and production settings where tight tolerances are required.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and drill presses equipped with a 3.00 mm (0.118-inch) straight-cylindrical shank collet or chuck. Compatible with blind hole, stack drilling, and through-hole operations in cast iron, steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, titanium, nickel alloys, and similar materials per Series DB133-05-A1 specifications.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with micro-diameter tooling. Secure the shank fully in a collet or chuck rated for the 3.00 mm shank diameter before operation. Verify coolant-through lines are clear and flowing before engaging the workpiece. Micro drill bits are brittle at small diameters — avoid side loading, excessive feed rates, or improper alignment, as these conditions cause breakage.
