The WALTER-TITEX 7377710 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding industrial applications. It features a 5/8 inch (0.6250 inch decimal) diameter, a 140-degree drill point angle, and a dual-coating system combining TiSiAlCrN and AlTiN for heat resistance and extended tool life. With an overall length of 133 mm and a 2-flute spiral configuration, this bit delivers fast chip evacuation and consistent hole quality. Coolant-through capability supports high-feed drilling strategies in production environments. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 16 mm in diameter and 48 mm in length, providing secure toolholder engagement.
This drill bit is rated for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, steel, superalloys, and titanium — material groups K, N, P, and S. It is suited for blind holes, cross holes, inclined hole exits, and stack drilling operations at a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio with a maximum drilling depth of 63 mm. Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine locked out per applicable safety procedures. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank in a compatible collet or drill chuck rated for the shank diameter before operation. Verify coolant-through lines are clear and delivering adequate flow before engaging the cut. Inspect the cutting edges and coating condition before each use — carbide tools are brittle and should not be dropped or subjected to side-loading beyond rated parameters.
