The WALTER-TITEX 7377654 is a solid carbide jobber-length twist drill engineered for high-performance hole-making in demanding industrial and metalworking applications. It carries a dual-layer AlTiN/TiSiAlCrN coating that resists heat and wear at elevated cutting speeds. The 140-degree split point geometry promotes self-centering entry and reduces thrust force at the cut. At 13.30 mm in diameter with a 124.00 mm overall length and 77.00 mm flute length, this drill is dimensioned for the DC160 series 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio. It is sized for machine tool spindles and CNC setups where tight hole tolerances are required. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users of this tool.
This drill is suited for production drilling in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, carbon and alloy steels, superalloys, and titanium. Its coolant-through design supports internal coolant delivery, making it appropriate for deep-hole work in CNC machining centers. Typical applications include blind holes, cross holes, inclined-hole exits, and stack drilling operations where consistent chip evacuation and hole quality are critical. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard ER and hydraulic toolholders commonly used in vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and drill presses equipped with toolholders accepting a 14.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Installation and operation of this drill should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC programmers familiar with carbide tooling parameters. Ensure the spindle and toolholder are clean and properly torqued before seating the shank. Activate coolant-through flow before the drill contacts the workpiece to prevent thermal shock to the carbide substrate. Avoid running carbide drills in worn or loose spindles, as runout accelerates edge chipping and reduces tool life.
