The WALTER-TITEX 7377564 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit engineered for high-performance metal cutting in demanding production environments. Built on the DC160 series platform, it features a 3/8 inch (0.3750 inch) cutting diameter, a 140-degree split point, and a multi-layer TiSiAlCrN/AlTiN proprietary coating designed to extend tool life in abrasive and high-temperature cutting conditions. Overall length is 4.0551 inches (103 mm), with a flute length of 2.4016 inches (61 mm). This drill is configured for right-hand cutting, runs through-coolant capable, and is ground to an m7 diameter tolerance for close-tolerance bore applications. Machinists, tool-and-die tradespeople, and CNC operators working in ferrous and non-ferrous materials are the primary users.
This drill is suited for drilling blind holes, cross holes, inclined hole exits, and stack drilling operations. Primary workpiece materials include steel (P-class), cast iron (K-class), aluminum and non-ferrous metals (N-class), and S-class materials. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports drilling depths up to 3.1875 inches (49 mm maximum drilling depth). The straight cylindrical shank measures 10 mm (0.8125 inch) in diameter and 40 mm (1.5750 inches) in length, making it compatible with standard collet chucks and drill chucks used on CNC machining centers and drill presses.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for DC160 series solid carbide jobber drills in the 0.3500 to 0.4000 inch drill bit size range. Suitable for use in standard straight-shank collet chucks and drill chucks sized for a 10 mm (0.8125 inch) shank diameter on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and similar machine tool setups.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and power is locked out before changing tooling. Confirm collet or chuck bore is clean and within tolerance before seating the shank to maintain runout specifications. Through-coolant lines should be verified for flow and pressure before initiating a drilling cycle, particularly in blind-hole and stack-drilling applications.
