The WALTER-TITEX 7377556 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit in the DC160 series, designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding industrial and trade applications. It carries a dual-layer AlTiN and TiSiAlCrN coating that extends tool life and supports elevated cutting speeds across a wide range of workpiece materials. The 140-degree point angle reduces thrust and improves centering on entry. At 9.20 mm in diameter with a 103.00 mm overall length and a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio, this drill is sized for precision through-spindle and external coolant setups. Machinists and toolroom professionals install this bit in CNC machining centers and drill presses requiring tight-tolerance bores.
This drill is suited for production and job-shop environments where multiple material types are run on the same setup. Its primary workpiece materials include cast iron, non-ferrous metals, steel, and superalloys and titanium. The DC160 series supports blind hole, cross hole, inclined hole exit, and stack drilling applications, making it a versatile option for multi-operation fixturing. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 10.00 mm diameter seats securely in standard drill chucks and hydraulic tool holders. Coolant-through capability keeps cutting temperatures controlled during deep-reach passes at the maximum drilling depth of 49.00 mm.
The DC160 series is designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and similar machine tool spindles accepting a 10.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for workpiece material codes K, N, P, and S per ISO classification. Conforms to ANSI and ISO standards for jobber drill geometry. Fits within the 9.00 mm to 10.00 mm drill bit size range for tooling systems specified in that class.
A licensed machinist or qualified toolroom technician should install and operate this tooling. Secure the shank fully in a collet, hydraulic holder, or drill chuck rated for the shank diameter before powering the spindle. Verify coolant-through compatibility with the machine spindle before engaging internal coolant supply. Do not use this bit in hand-held drilling equipment; it is designed for rigid machine tool spindles only.
