The WALTER-TITEX 7377533 is a solid carbide jobber drill designed for high-performance drilling in demanding industrial and machining environments. Built to DC160 series specifications, this drill features a 140-degree point angle and a dual-layer AlTiN/TiSiAlCrN coating that extends tool life in abrasive and high-temperature cutting conditions. The 8.20 mm diameter bore, combined with a straight-cylindrical shank and right-hand spiral flute geometry, delivers consistent chip evacuation and hole quality. It is installed and operated by machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC programmers working on production or maintenance machining applications.
This drill is suited for blind hole, cross hole, inclined hole exit, and stack drilling operations. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron, non-ferrous metals, steel, superalloys, and titanium. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports drilling to a maximum depth of 49.00 mm. Coolant-through capability makes it effective in high-speed, high-feed setups where thermal management is critical. It is appropriate for both manual machine and CNC machining center use across automotive, aerospace, and general metalworking applications.
Designed for use in drilling applications involving cast iron (K), non-ferrous metals (N), steel (P), and superalloys and titanium (S) workpiece materials. Conforms to ANSI and ISO standards. Fits within the DC160 series product family for 8.00 mm to 9.00 mm diameter range applications.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Verify that the toolholder collet or chuck is sized for a 10.00 mm shank diameter before mounting. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Ensure coolant-through lines are connected and flow-tested before engaging the drill in production to prevent premature coating failure or tool breakage.
