The WALTER-TITEX 7377465 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding materials. It carries a dual-layer AlTiN and TiSiAlCrN coating that extends tool life when cutting cast iron, steel, superalloys, and non-ferrous metals. The 140-degree split point reduces thrust and improves centering at entry. With a 5.40 mm cutting diameter, 82.00 mm overall length, and a flute-to-diameter ratio of 5xD, this drill is built for shops running tight-tolerance production work or difficult-material applications where standard HSS tooling falls short. Licensed tradespeople and CNC machinists are the primary users.
This drill fits blind-hole, cross-hole, inclined-hole exit, and stack-drilling applications. The straight-cylindrical shank at 6.00 mm diameter seats in standard drill chucks or collet systems. Coolant-through capability makes it well suited for deep-hole work up to a maximum drilling depth of 35.00 mm in CNC machining centers and automated drilling equipment. The right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation in the material grades it targets, including P, K, N, and S ISO workpiece categories.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and drilling equipment accepting a 6.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for primary workpiece materials including cast iron (ISO K), non-ferrous metals (ISO N), steel (ISO P), and superalloys and titanium (ISO S). Part of the WALTER-TITEX DC160 series.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators following the machine tool manufacturer lockout and energy-isolation procedures before any spindle access. Confirm shank seating depth and runout in the collet or chuck before initiating a cutting cycle. When using coolant-through capability, verify that coolant pressure and flow rate are set per the machine tool specification before drilling. Discard or regrind the drill if chipping, excessive wear, or diameter tolerance drift beyond m7 is observed.
