The WALTER-TITEX 7377191 is a solid carbide screw machine length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in cast iron and steel. Featuring a 9 mm diameter and a 140-degree X-treme Evo point geometry, this bit delivers accurate entry and reduced thrust in tough ferrous materials. The two-flute spiral design with a 3xD flute-to-diameter ratio promotes efficient chip evacuation in short-hole drilling applications. With an overall length of 89 mm (3.5039 inches) and a straight-cylindrical shank measuring 10 mm in diameter, this tool fits standard drill chucks and machine spindles used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals. It carries a DC160 series designation and meets DIN and ISO standards.
This drill bit is suited for screw machine length drilling operations in production and job-shop environments. The Universal Advance performance classification positions it as a general-purpose workhorse for ferrous materials including cast iron and steel. The 35 mm maximum drilling depth and compact 89 mm overall length make it appropriate for CNC machining centers, knee mills, and drill presses where rigidity and short tool overhang are priorities. The coated finish supports tool life in continuous-duty machining cycles. Installation and use are handled by machinists, tool room technicians, and CNC operators.
Designed as an OEM-style screw machine length drill bit in the DC160 series, suitable for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual mills equipped with standard straight-shank tool holders or drill chucks accepting a 10 mm shank diameter.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Verify chuck or collet runout is within acceptable limits to protect the carbide from premature chipping. Follow applicable shop safety protocols and machine manufacturer guidelines for tool clamping torque.
