The WALTER-TITEX 7377130 is a solid carbide screw machine length drill bit designed for precision drilling in ferrous and cast iron applications. Built on the DC160 series platform with an X-treme Evo point geometry, this bit features a 140-degree drill point angle that reduces thrust and improves hole entry accuracy. The bit measures 3.11 inches overall length with a 0.25-inch (6.35 mm) cutting diameter, a straight-cylindrical shank diameter of 0.315 inches, and a flute length of 1.34 inches. The right-hand spiral flutes and Universal Advance performance classification make this a workhorse choice for production machining environments. It is installed and used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with CNC and manual drill setups.
This drill bit is suited for screw machine length drilling in cast iron and steel workpieces. The 3xD flute-by-diameter ratio and 24 mm maximum drilling depth (approximately 0.945 inches) make it appropriate for through-holes and shallow blind holes in production or maintenance machining contexts. The coated solid carbide construction supports consistent performance in both interrupted and continuous cut conditions on harder workpiece materials. Designed as an OEM-specification screw machine length drill bit for use in standard drill chucks, collet holders, and CNC tool holders accepting a 0.315-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials are cast iron and steel as specified in the product data.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with carbide tooling. Power down and de-energize the machine spindle completely before mounting or removing the bit from the chuck or collet. Solid carbide tooling is brittle compared to high-speed steel alternatives and should not be subjected to side loading or impact during setup. Verify spindle speed, feed rate, and workpiece clamping are appropriate for the material and drill diameter before starting the cut.
