The WALTER-TITEX 6618761 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit engineered for precision drilling in demanding materials. Measuring 4.1 mm in diameter with a 140-degree split point, it delivers accurate hole entry and reduced thrust in hard, abrasive workpieces. The TiNAl coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life under high-speed cutting conditions. With a 64 mm flute length, a 6 mm straight-cylindrical shank, and a 102 mm overall length, this bit is built for applications that require extended reach beyond what a standard-length drill can provide. It is suited for use by machinists and toolroom technicians in CNC and manual drilling operations.
This drill bit is designed for blind hole, cross hole, inclined hole exit, and stack drilling operations. It is optimized for primary workpiece materials including cobalt, iron, nickel, and titanium alloys, with secondary capability in glass and graphite. The right-hand cutting direction and 2-flute geometry support efficient chip evacuation. Coolant-through capability allows internal coolant delivery for thermal management during deep-hole drilling. The 12xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports drilling up to 56 mm deep, making it suitable for aerospace, medical, and precision manufacturing environments.
Designed for use in cobalt, iron, nickel, and titanium alloy workpieces as primary materials, with secondary suitability for glass and graphite. Belongs to the DC150-12-A1 series. Conforms to ANSI, DIN 6535 HA, and ISO standards. Shank diameter is 6 mm straight-cylindrical per DIN 6535 HA specification.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians familiar with carbide tooling. Secure the shank fully in the tool holder or collet chuck before operation and verify runout before drilling. Enable coolant-through flow when drilling to depth to prevent thermal damage to the tool and workpiece. Do not exceed the rated maximum drilling depth of 56 mm without withdrawing the tool to clear chips.
