The WALTER-TITEX 6618759 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding industrial and trade applications. With a 0.1563-inch diameter, a 140-degree drill point angle, and a TiNAl (titanium aluminum nitride) coating, this bit delivers high thermal resistance and extended tool life in tough materials. The flute-to-diameter ratio of 12xD supports deep-hole work while the coolant-through design helps evacuate chips and manage heat during extended drilling cycles. It is sized for use in CNC machining centers and automated drilling equipment where consistent hole geometry and tight tolerances are required.
This drill bit is rated for use in cobalt, iron, nickel, and titanium alloys, as well as secondary materials including glass and graphite. Typical applications include blind hole drilling, cross hole drilling, inclined hole exits, and stack drilling. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 0.2360-inch shank diameter and a 6.00 mm shank is compatible with standard collet and chuck toolholding systems. The DC150-12-A1 series is suited for high-production environments where repeatability and close-tolerance hole quality are priorities.
Designed for use in CNC drilling and machining operations with cobalt, iron, nickel, and titanium alloy workpieces, as well as glass and graphite. Straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collet chucks and drill holders sized for a 0.2360-inch shank diameter.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with CNC toolholding and cutting parameters. Ensure the spindle and machine are powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Verify shank seating depth and runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut. Always confirm that coolant-through supply is connected and flowing before drilling into rated workpiece materials to prevent premature tool wear or breakage.
