The WALTER-TITEX 6618757 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding industrial applications. It features a 3.8 mm (0.1496 inch) cutting diameter, a 140-degree split point angle, and a TiNAl coating that extends tool life in high-heat cutting environments. With a flute length of 64 mm (2.52 inches) and an overall length of 102 mm (4.016 inches), this bit is built for reaching deeper features while maintaining rigidity. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 6 mm (0.236 inch) in diameter. It is installed by machinists and tooling technicians on CNC machining centers and conventional drill presses where extended reach and tight-tolerance hole making are required.
This drill bit is suited for blind hole, cross hole, inclined hole exit, and stack drilling operations. Its 12xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports a maximum drilling depth of 56 mm (2.205 inches). Primary workpiece materials include cobalt, iron, nickel, and titanium alloys. Secondary workpiece materials include glass and graphite. This drill bit is installed by machinists and CNC tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle and collet or drill chuck are powered down and fully stopped before changing tooling. Confirm the shank is seated and clamped to the full grip length recommended by the toolholder manufacturer. When drilling titanium or nickel alloys, verify that coolant flow is active before the spindle engages the workpiece to prevent premature coating degradation.
