The WALTER-TITEX 6618702 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding metalworking applications. Built to Series DC150-08-A1 specifications, it features a 10 mm diameter, a 140-degree drill point angle, and a TiNAl (titanium aluminum nitride) coating that extends tool life in abrasive materials. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 10 mm in diameter with an overall length of 5.472 inches (139 mm). Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and heat management during deep or high-cycle drilling. This bit is suited for use in CNC machining centers and production drilling environments where consistent hole quality and tool longevity are required.
This drill bit is rated for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, steel, superalloys, and titanium - material codes K, N, P, and S. It is designed for blind hole drilling and stack drilling applications. The 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 95 mm (3.74 inches) flute length support drilling depths up to 3.15 inches (80 mm). The right-hand cut geometry and two-flute design promote efficient chip removal in both interrupted and continuous cuts across production and job-shop environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production drill bit within the WALTER-TITEX DC150-08-A1 series, suitable for straight-cylindrical toolholders and chucks accepting a 10 mm shank in CNC and manual drilling machines.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the machine powered down and in a safe, locked-out state. Confirm that the toolholder or chuck is rated for the 10 mm straight-cylindrical shank before seating the bit. Coolant-through setups require proper connection to the machine spindle coolant circuit before initiating a drilling cycle. Do not exceed the recommended maximum drilling depth of 80 mm without appropriate pecking cycles or chip-clearing pauses.
