The WALTER-TITEX 5293773 is a solid carbide screw machine length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding industrial and machining applications. Built to Series A6181TFT and manufactured to DIN 6535HA specification, it features a 9/32 inch (0.2812 inch) diameter, a 150-degree drill point angle, and a straight-cylindrical shank with an 8.00 mm shank diameter. The web-thinned, tapered web geometry reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation. Coolant-through capability supports extended tool life at higher feed rates. This bit is suited for machinists, tool-and-die shops, and CNC operators working with tough workpiece materials.
The 5293773 is built for universal tool performance across a broad range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, hard materials, and non-ferrous metals. With a screw machine length profile, it offers increased rigidity over jobber-length bits, making it well suited for close-tolerance drilling in CNC machining centers, manual drill presses, and screw machine setups. Its 2xD flute-to-diameter ratio and regular spiral flute design promote consistent chip flow in both through-hole and blind-hole operations.
Rated for use on primary workpiece materials including cast iron, hard material, non-ferrous metal, stainless steel, and steel. Fits standard drill chucks and CNC tool holders accepting a straight-cylindrical shank with 8.00 mm shank diameter. Conforms to DIN and ISO standards.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators familiar with carbide tooling. Ensure the machine spindle and chuck are clean and free of runout before seating the straight shank. Carbide is brittle — avoid side loading, interrupted cuts without proper setup, or dropping the tool on hard surfaces. Verify coolant-through supply pressure and flow rate match your machine tool specifications before running at full feed and speed.
