The WALTER-TITEX 5060578 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. Sized at 3/32 inch (0.0938 inch decimal) in diameter with a 2-1/4 inch overall length, this bit features a 130-degree split point for fast, self-centering entry with minimal walking. The parabolic flute geometry promotes aggressive chip evacuation, reducing heat buildup during extended cuts. An oxide coating provides added surface hardness and lubricity. Right-hand cut with a straight-cylindrical shank, this bit is built for production-level work in metalworking, fabrication, and maintenance environments where tool life and hole quality matter.
This drill bit is engineered for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steels, superalloys, and titanium. Its parabolic flute design supports blind hole drilling and stack drilling applications. The 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio and web-thinned, tapered web configuration make it effective in materials that cause rapid wear on standard HSS tooling. Suitable for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and hand-held power drills where consistent performance across tough workpiece materials is required.
Designed for drilling cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, steel, superalloys, and titanium. Conforms to ANSI and ISO standards with BS and DIN specification designations. Part of the WALTER-TITEX Series A1247 high-performance cobalt drill line.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or trade professionals familiar with metalworking drill tooling. Ensure the drill press or power tool is powered down and secured before changing bits. Verify chuck size and shank diameter compatibility before seating the bit. Follow standard shop safety practices including eye protection and workpiece clamping when drilling hard or abrasive materials.
