The WALTER-TITEX 5057162 is a screw machine length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding trade and industrial applications. Built from Cobalt Vanadium High Speed Steel with a bright, uncoated finish, this bit delivers reliable performance in tough materials including stainless steel, cast iron, hard materials, non-ferrous metals, and general steel. It measures 0.0906 inches in diameter with an overall length of 1-9/16 inches and features a 130-degree split point for accurate starting and reduced walking on entry. The parabolic flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation, reducing heat buildup during extended drilling cycles. This bit is sold individually and requires a minimum order of 10 units.
This drill bit is designed for screw machine length applications where a shorter, more rigid tool profile is required. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks without modification. It is well suited for use in machine shop environments, precision fabrication, and maintenance applications involving stainless steel and hard ferrous materials. The web-thinned, tapered web configuration reduces thrust load at the point, making it effective for hand-held electric drill use as well as CNC and drill press setups. Maximum drilling depth is 0.4000 inches (9.00 mm).
Designed for use in Series A1148 screw machine length drill bit applications. Suitable for drilling cast iron, hard materials, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, and general steel. Fits any drill chuck or collet accepting a straight-cylindrical shank of 0.0906 inches diameter.
Installation is performed by machinists, toolmakers, and maintenance technicians using standard drill chucks, collets, or CNC tool holders. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing bits. Confirm chuck jaw condition and verify shank seating before initiating a cut. Cutting fluid or coolant is recommended when drilling stainless steel or hard ferrous materials to extend tool life, even though this bit does not feature internal coolant-through passages.
