The VALUE COLLECTION TES70020 is a Dash 020 PTFE-encapsulated silicone O-ring designed for demanding sealing applications across plumbing, HVAC, chemical process, and fluid-handling systems. The ring measures 0.875 inches inside diameter, 1.000 inches outside diameter, and 0.0625 inches thick with a round cross section. Construction consists of a seamless, uniform FEP-Teflon encapsulation that completely encloses a silicone elastomer core. This design delivers the chemical and temperature resistance of solid PTFE while retaining the elasticity and compression recovery of silicone. Licensed tradespeople and maintenance technicians install this ring wherever standard elastomers are incompatible with aggressive media or wide thermal cycling.
This O-ring is suited for use in residential and light commercial mechanical systems including water treatment equipment, chemical feed lines, compressed gas fittings, refrigerant service ports, and general plumbing connections requiring a chemically inert seal. The Dash 020 sizing is a common standard dimension found in many OEM and aftermarket fitting configurations. The temperature rating of -75 degrees F to 400 degrees F makes it appropriate for both cryogenic-adjacent and high-heat service environments. It is packaged individually and intended for direct replacement or repair use by qualified tradespeople.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service O-ring for any system or fitting that accepts a Dash 020 size O-ring with a 0.875-inch inside diameter and 1.000-inch outside diameter.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified mechanic following applicable codes including IPC and IFGC where relevant. De-pressurize and isolate the system completely before removing the old O-ring or installing the new one. Inspect the gland surface for nicks, burrs, or corrosion that could damage the encapsulation layer. Do not use petroleum-based lubricants with PTFE-encapsulated rings; use only a compatible lubricant approved for PTFE or silicone seals.
