The VALUE COLLECTION SS-ME-FT6-MN6 is a stainless steel compression tube male elbow designed to connect 3/8-inch OD tubing to a 3/8 male pipe thread (MNPT) port at a 90-degree angle. Constructed from 316 stainless steel, this fitting meets ASTM A182, ASTM A276, and ASTM A479 material standards, making it well-suited for corrosive, high-purity, and instrumentation-grade fluid or gas service. The compression end accepts 3/8-inch OD tubing without welding or soldering, while the MNPT end threads directly into a female NPT port. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians install this type of fitting in process piping, pneumatic control lines, and fluid handling assemblies.
This fitting is used in residential and commercial applications where a direction change is needed between a compression tube run and a threaded pipe port. Typical installations include instrumentation tubing, hydraulic and pneumatic control lines, chemical feed systems, and HVAC refrigerant or condensate accessory piping where stainless steel is specified. The 316 stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance suitable for both indoor and outdoor service environments.
Designed as a direct-equivalent replacement for Swagelok part number SS-600-2-6. Suitable for use with 3/8-inch OD tubing routed to any standard 3/8 MNPT female port in instrumentation, pneumatic, or fluid process systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified instrumentation technician following applicable IPC or process-piping codes. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before disassembling any existing fittings. On the compression side, ensure the tube end is cut square, fully deburred, and inserted to the tube stop before tightening the compression nut. On the MNPT side, apply a compatible thread sealant or PTFE tape in accordance with the system fluid or gas compatibility requirements before threading into the receiving port.
