The TIGRE USA INC 1429-005 is a 1/2 inch poly insert coupling designed to join polyethylene (PE) pipe in cold water service applications. This fitting uses a poly-to-poly insert connection method, secured with stainless steel clamps over the pipe ends to form a reliable mechanical joint. Rated and listed under ASTM D-2609, NSF 14, and NSF 16, it is approved for potable water service. Plumbers and irrigation technicians install this fitting where PE pipe connections are required in outdoor, agricultural, or municipal water distribution work.

This coupling is intended for cold water service only and is not approved for use with compressed air, gases, or in dwelling applications. Typical installations include rural water supply lines, irrigation laterals, and below-grade PE pipe systems where a straight coupling is needed to join two pipe segments. The poly insert design requires stainless steel clamps, which are not included with the fitting itself. Any modification to the fitting will void the manufacturer warranty.
