The THOMAS BETTS 702-1 is a 14-gauge steel pipe strap designed to secure 1-inch rigid conduit, IMC conduit, and electrical metal tubing (EMT) to structural surfaces. It is rated for an outer diameter of 1.315 inches and features a GoldGalv finish that provides corrosion resistance in demanding installation environments. This strap is part of the Superstrut 700 series accessory line and is installed by licensed electricians during conduit routing on commercial and industrial electrical projects.
The 702-1 is used wherever rigid conduit, IMC, or EMT must be anchored to walls, ceilings, or metal framing members. It is a standard fit for commercial construction, industrial facilities, and retrofit wiring projects where conduit support spacing must comply with NEC requirements. The strap accommodates 1-inch trade-size conduit with a 1.315-inch outer diameter and is suitable for use within Superstrut metal framing systems alongside compatible channel, hardware, and fittings.
Designed for use with 1-inch rigid conduit, IMC conduit, and electrical metal tubing (EMT) having an outer diameter of 1.315 inches. Suitable for use within the Superstrut metal framing accessory system.
Install by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC conduit support spacing requirements. De-energize all circuits in the work area before securing conduit straps near live conductors. Use appropriate fasteners rated for the mounting surface material. Do not overtighten the strap mounting hardware against conduit, as deformation may compromise the integrity of the conduit system.
