It operates at 115 volts and is rated for compressors in the 1/12 to 1/5 horsepower range. The unit arrives completely pre-wired, with the wiring diagram and installation instructions printed directly on the package. Refrigeration technicians and appliance service pros use this part to restore compressor starting function quickly on household refrigerators and freezers.
This part is suited for residential refrigerator and freezer compressor service. It is intended for use with single-phase, 115-volt hermetic compressors in the 1/12 to 1/5 HP range. It can be installed with or without a separate run capacitor, giving technicians flexibility when diagnosing compressor hard-start or no-start conditions. The pre-wired design eliminates the need to splice or terminate individual component leads during installation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for sealed hermetic compressors in residential refrigerators and freezers rated at 115 volts and 1/12 to 1/5 horsepower.
Installation should be performed by a qualified appliance or refrigeration technician. Disconnect power to the appliance at the outlet or breaker before removing the existing relay, overload, or capacitor. The pre-wired assembly plugs directly onto the compressor terminals; refer to the diagram printed on the package for correct terminal orientation. Do not energize the compressor until the assembly is fully seated and secured.
