The STANLEY MR55C5 is a right angle head hand riveter designed for setting blind rivets in tight spaces and confined installations where a straight-nose tool cannot reach. The right angle head repositions the nose 90 degrees from the handle axis, allowing a technician to pull rivets flush against surfaces that are parallel to the direction of approach. The tool handles rivet diameters from 3/32 inch through 3/16 inch and has an overall length of 10 inches. It is suited for sheet metal work, HVAC duct assembly, electrical enclosures, and general mechanical fastening tasks performed by trade professionals and skilled maintenance technicians.
This riveter is commonly used in HVAC installation and service, light commercial sheet metal fabrication, and electrical panel or enclosure work where standard inline rivet tools cannot access fastener locations. The right angle configuration is particularly useful when working inside duct sections, behind panels, or in mechanical rooms with limited clearance. The tool accepts standard blind rivets across the 3/32 inch to 3/16 inch range, covering the most common diameters used in trade sheet metal and light structural applications.
Designed for use with standard blind pop rivets in diameters from 3/32 inch through 3/16 inch, consistent with common aluminum and steel blind rivets used in sheet metal and mechanical trade applications.
Installation is performed by hand with no power source required. Select the correct nosepiece for the rivet diameter being set and ensure the mandrel is fully seated before pulling. Wear eye protection, as mandrel stems eject during the setting cycle. When working on HVAC ductwork or electrical enclosures, de-energize and lock out any associated equipment before riveting near live components or duct assemblies connected to operating systems.
