The SOUTHWIRE CBGI200 is a zinc insulated grounding bushing designed to bond metal conduit systems to ground at panel enclosures, junction boxes, and service entrances. The bushing threads onto the end of rigid metal conduit or intermediate metal conduit and provides a listed grounding point along with an insulated throat to protect conductors from sharp conduit edges. Electricians install this fitting during new construction and retrofit work where NEC grounding continuity requirements must be met at conduit terminations. The zinc construction delivers corrosion resistance in typical indoor and light commercial environments.
This insulated grounding bushing is used in residential and commercial electrical installations wherever rigid or IMC conduit terminates at a panel, meter base, or enclosure. It is a direct replacement for Topaz 336TZ and Topaz 336, and is also cross-referenced as Madison CBGI-200. Electricians and electrical contractors working on service entrances, feeder runs, and branch circuit raceways commonly specify this fitting to maintain grounding integrity and conductor protection at conduit ends.
Replaces Topaz 336TZ and Topaz 336. Also cross-referenced as Madison CBGI-200. Designed as an OEM-style replacement fitting for 2-inch rigid metal conduit and intermediate metal conduit grounding bushing applications.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC Article 250 grounding and bonding requirements. De-energize all circuits and verify the system is locked out and tagged out before working at any panel or enclosure. Thread the bushing fully onto the conduit end before inserting the conduit into the enclosure knockout, and attach the bonding conductor to the grounding lug per applicable code. Inspect the insulated throat for damage before installation to ensure conductor protection is intact.
