The SOUTHWIRE CB150 is a standard conduit bushing designed to protect wire and cable insulation at the end of conduit runs. It seats at the termination point of a conduit to eliminate sharp metal edges that could damage conductor insulation during pull-through. Constructed from die cast zinc, it provides solid mechanical protection in a compact, lightweight form. This bushing fits 1-1/2 inch trade size conduit and is a common finish fitting used by licensed electricians on residential and commercial installations alike.
This bushing is suited for use at panel knockouts, junction boxes, and enclosure entries wherever conduit terminates and wire protection is required. It is typically installed as a final step in conduit assembly before conductors are pulled. The 1-1/2 inch trade size makes it appropriate for EMT, rigid metal conduit, or IMC applications at that trade size. Electricians commonly use this type of fitting on branch circuit conduit runs, service entrance raceways, and equipment connections.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for 1-1/2 inch trade size conduit systems in residential and commercial electrical installations.
A licensed electrician should install this bushing in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for conduit terminations. De-energize the circuit and verify the panel or enclosure is locked out before working at any termination point. Thread or press the bushing onto the conduit end prior to pulling conductors to avoid insulation damage. Do not overtighten to the point of cracking the zinc body.
