The SOUTHWIRE 9210150601 is an RG6 coaxial plenum-rated cable designed for signal distribution in commercial and residential installations where air-handling spaces require low-smoke, fire-resistant wiring. It operates at 75 ohms impedance with an 18 AWG steel center conductor and a combined braid and foil shield delivering 80 percent coverage. The 0.235-inch outside diameter fits standard RG6 connectors and passthrough fittings without modification. The white PVC jacket is rated for plenum environments and meets UL 910 for use in air-handling spaces. Licensed electricians and low-voltage cabling technicians are the primary installers of this cable in structured cabling and CATV distribution systems.
This cable is suited for plenum-space runs in commercial office buildings, hotels, healthcare facilities, and multi-unit residential structures. It is used in CATV, satellite, antenna, and broadband distribution systems where the cable pathway passes through air-return plenums or HVAC ducts. The 1,000-foot coil supports long continuous runs between head-end equipment and distribution points, reducing the number of splices in a run. It is sold in 1-foot cut increments with a minimum order quantity of 250 units and a minimum cut length of 1,000 feet per order.
Designed as a standard RG6 plenum coaxial cable for use with 75-ohm CATV, satellite, and broadband distribution systems in plenum-rated installations. Compatible with standard RG6 compression and crimp connectors.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified low-voltage cabling technician in accordance with NEC Article 725 and local codes governing plenum-rated wiring. De-energize all connected equipment before terminating or splicing. Avoid sharp bends that exceed the cable minimum bend radius, as this can degrade shielding integrity and signal performance. Confirm that all pathways, hangers, and bundling methods comply with the applicable fire code requirements for plenum-rated cable runs.
