The SOUTHWIRE 411030502 is a 14 AWG stranded machine tool wire rated for use in industrial control panels, machine tool wiring, and similar fixed wiring applications. Built with 41-strand copper construction and PVC insulation, it delivers flexible performance in tight routing environments. The outside diameter measures 0.136 inches, and the wire is rated for a maximum operating temperature of 221 degrees F and a minimum of -22 degrees F. Each spool contains 500 feet of continuous yellow wire. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians typically specify this wire for equipment wiring inside or on the exterior of industrial machinery.
This wire suits residential, commercial, and industrial applications where machine tool wiring standards apply. It is commonly used inside control panels, on the chassis of industrial equipment, and in applications requiring oil, acid, and moisture resistance. The yellow color aids circuit identification during installation and maintenance. It is appropriate for use where NFPA 79 electrical standard for industrial machinery is the governing code, as well as general applications covered under NFPA 70.
Designed for machine tool wiring, control panel wiring, and industrial equipment applications governed by NFPA 79 and NFPA 70. Meets UL 1063, UL 758, UL 83, and UL 1426 listing requirements, as well as CSA 22.2 No. 127/210 and ASTM B174 standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified industrial maintenance technician in accordance with NFPA 70 and NFPA 79. De-energize all circuits and lock out or tag out equipment before routing or terminating wire. Use appropriate wire lugs, terminals, and strain relief fittings sized for 14 AWG conductors. Do not exceed the wire's rated temperature or bend radius during installation.
