The SOUTHWIRE 411020506 is a 16 AWG stranded machine tool wire designed for internal wiring of machine tools, control panels, and industrial equipment. The conductor uses 26 strands of copper for flexibility during routing and termination. Insulation is polyvinylchloride (PVC) with an outside diameter of 0.12 inches and a maximum operating temperature of 221 degrees F. This wire is rated for demanding industrial environments where exposure to acids, moisture, and oils is common. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers.
This wire is suited for use inside machine tools, automated equipment enclosures, and control cabinets in both light and heavy industrial settings. Its acid-resistant, moisture-resistant, and oil-resistant PVC insulation makes it appropriate for factory floor environments. The 500-foot spool length supports panel shops and service contractors who wire multiple enclosures from a single reel. The blue jacket aids with circuit identification in multi-conductor installations.
Designed for use as internal machine tool wire in control panels, automated machinery, and industrial enclosures where UL 1063 and CSA 22.2 No. 210 listed wire is specified.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits and lock out power before routing or terminating wire inside enclosures. Use appropriate wire strippers rated for 16 AWG stranded conductors to avoid nicking strands during prep. Do not exceed the wire temperature rating when routing near heat-generating components inside a panel.
