The SOUTHWIRE 411010503 is an 18 AWG stranded copper machine tool wire designed for internal wiring of machine tools, control panels, and industrial equipment. Built with polyvinylchloride (PVC) insulation and an outside diameter of 0.108 inches, this wire handles operating temperatures from -4 degrees F up to 221 degrees F. It features 16 strands for added flexibility during routing through tight conduit runs and wire harnesses. Electricians and industrial maintenance technicians use this wire where oil, moisture, and acid resistance are required in demanding plant environments.
This wire is suited for use in machine tool cabinets, factory automation panels, and similar industrial control applications. The orange color aids in visual identification within multi-conductor wiring installations. The 500-foot reel length supports larger panel builds or multiple smaller jobs from a single spool. It meets CSA 22.2 No. 210 and UL 1063 standards, making it appropriate for both US and Canadian industrial installations requiring listed wire.
Designed as an OEM-style wiring solution for internal wiring of machine tools, industrial control panels, and automation equipment requiring UL 1063 or CSA 22.2 No. 210 listed 18 AWG hook-up wire.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any applicable local codes. De-energize all equipment and verify zero voltage before pulling or terminating wire. Use appropriate wire strippers sized for 18 AWG to avoid nicking strands. Do not exceed the wire's rated temperature or use in environments outside its listed resistance specifications.
