The SOUTHWIRE 11602001 is a solid-core THHN/THWN building wire rated for 10 AWG at 30 amps and 600 volts. The conductor is solid copper with thermoplastic insulation and a nylon jacket in brown. This wire is designed for use in conduit in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical systems. Each spool contains 500 feet of wire, making it well suited for branch circuit wiring, panel feeders, and other general-purpose wiring applications. Licensed electricians install this wire during new construction and renovation work where THHN or THWN dual-rated conductors are specified.
This wire is rated for use in wet, dry, and damp locations, which makes it appropriate for conduit runs both inside and outside a structure. The brown jacket color is commonly used in electrical installations to identify specific conductors within a multi-circuit system. It meets a broad set of industry standards and is suitable for use in conduit installations governed by the National Electrical Code (NEC). The 500-foot spool length supports medium-to-large wiring jobs without the need for multiple spools on a single run.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard supply conductor for residential and commercial conduit wiring systems requiring THHN or THWN dual-rated 10 AWG solid copper building wire.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit or panel before pulling wire. This wire must be installed in conduit and is not rated for direct burial or free-air applications outside of code-permitted conduit systems. Do not exceed the rated ampacity or voltage for this conductor.
