The SOUTHWIRE 11598001 is a 10 AWG solid copper THHN/THWN building wire rated for 30 amps at 600 volts. This single-conductor wire features thermoplastic insulation with a nylon jacket in blue, making it suitable for branch circuit wiring in conduit. Each spool contains 500 feet of wire weighing 18.5 pounds. The nylon jacket provides resistance to abrasion, gasoline, heat, moisture, and oil, extending service life in demanding environments. Licensed electricians install this wire in residential, commercial, and light industrial applications. It meets a broad range of standards including UL 83, UL Listed, CSA, and RoHS compliance.
This wire is used in dry and wet locations where THHN or THWN-rated conductors are specified. Common applications include branch circuit runs pulled through EMT, rigid metal conduit, or PVC conduit in residential panels, commercial electrical systems, and light industrial installations. The solid core construction is well suited for straight runs in conduit where flexibility is not a primary requirement. The blue jacket aids in circuit identification during installation and future service work.
Designed for use in conduit installations where THHN or THWN single-conductor building wire is specified per NEC branch circuit and feeder requirements.
This wire is installed by licensed electricians in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before making any connections. Pull wire through conduit using appropriate pulling lubricant to avoid jacket damage. Solid conductor wire should not be used in applications requiring repeated flexing.
