The SOUTHWIRE 11596401 is a solid-core, single-conductor THHN/THWN building wire rated for 10 AWG and 30 amps at 600 volts. The copper conductor is insulated with thermoplastic material and jacketed in nylon, finished in white. This 500-foot spool is sized for branch circuit wiring in residential and light commercial electrical installations. Electricians use it in conduit runs where moisture resistance, heat tolerance up to 194 degrees F, and oil and abrasion resistance are required. The dual THHN/THWN rating makes it suitable for both dry and wet locations.
This wire is used in conduit installations for branch circuits, panel feeds, and general-purpose wiring in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The white jacket color is commonly used for neutral conductors in accordance with NEC color-coding conventions. It is appropriate for use in EMT, rigid metal conduit, PVC conduit, and other approved raceway systems. The 500-foot length accommodates longer conduit runs without mid-run splices.
Designed for use in conduit and raceway systems where THHN or THWN-rated conductors are specified for 10 AWG, 30-amp, 600-volt branch circuit applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit or panel before pulling or terminating conductors. Wire must be installed in an approved conduit or raceway system — direct burial and open-air installations are not appropriate for this conductor type. Verify conduit fill calculations per NEC Chapter 9 before pulling multiple conductors into the same raceway.
