The SOUTHWIRE 11582458 is a 500-foot roll of 14 AWG solid copper THHN building wire in blue. It carries a 600-volt rating and is insulated with flame-retardant PVC with an outer nylon jacket, giving it a slim profile that pulls easily through conduit. Rated for 90 degrees C, it is appropriate for power, lighting, and control wiring in commercial and residential construction. The nylon jacket provides resistance to oil, gasoline, chemicals, and abrasion, extending service life in demanding environments. This wire is UL listed and sold as a single 500-foot roll.
This wire is designed for use in conduit and raceways where a solid-conductor THHN wire is required. It is commonly installed during new construction or renovation for branch circuit wiring, lighting circuits, and low-load control runs. The blue jacket aids in color-coded circuit identification, which is standard practice in panel and junction box work. Electricians pulling wire through EMT, rigid conduit, or PVC raceway will find the slim nylon jacket reduces friction during installation.
Designed as a general-purpose THHN building wire for use in conduit and raceway systems where 14 AWG solid copper wire meets code requirements.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before making any connections. Solid conductors at this gauge are best suited for terminations at devices and panels rather than long flexible runs. Use appropriately rated wire connectors and terminal lugs rated for solid copper conductors.
