The SLANT-FIN 57188101080 is an 8-foot Multi/Pak 88 baseboard heating unit designed for deluxe residential and light commercial hot water or steam heating systems. It ships fully assembled and accepts any of five interchangeable H-Series heating elements, including the 3/4-inch H3 element, giving installers flexibility across a wide range of output requirements. The unit delivers 590 to 790 BTU/h per foot at 180 degrees F and 1 GPM, making it well suited for both new construction and renovation work. A pivot-mounted, fully modulating damper allows individual room temperature control without additional hardware.
This baseboard unit fits residential single-family homes, renovations, and light commercial applications where wall space is limited or higher heating output is required. The 2-inch floor-to-front cover opening promotes natural convection airflow for effective heat distribution. Extendable accessories allow wall-to-wall installation without cutting, and the included accessories are designed to stay in place for a clean finished appearance. The unit is compatible with both hot water and steam systems, supporting higher fluid velocities, lower pump loads, and longer loop runs than standard residential baseboard products.
Designed for use with hot water or steam baseboard heating systems in residential and light commercial applications. Compatible with Slant-FIN Multi/Pak 88 series components and accepts H-Series heating elements for flexible configuration.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or hydronic heating technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the IFGC where applicable. Shut down the boiler and relieve system pressure before connecting or disconnecting any element or section. Confirm the existing system operating temperature and flow rate are within the rated range of 180 degrees F and 1 GPM before commissioning. Extendable accessories and pre-assembled construction reduce field labor, but verify all connections are leak-free before restoring system pressure.
