The SGS 39335 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. Built from micrograin carbide stock, it delivers a 0.2813 inch (9/32 inch) cutting diameter with a 0.75 inch length of cut and a 2.5 inch overall length. The TiN (titanium nitride) finish reduces friction and extends tool life during high-cycle operations. A 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation, and the two-flute spiral design is centercutting, allowing plunge entry as well as peripheral milling. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shops or production environments will find this a capable general-purpose end mill across a range of workpiece materials.
This end mill is suited for milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, cast materials, high-temperature alloys, and composites. The SGS Series 3 designation places it in a standard-reach, regular-length class optimized for conventional vertical and horizontal milling setups. Primary workpiece material codes supported include H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering hardened steels, cast iron, stainless, non-ferrous metals, steel alloys, and superalloys. It is a right-hand cut, right-hand flute configuration with a straight-cylindrical shank.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill in the SGS Series 3 regular-length class, compatible with standard straight-bore tool holders and collet chucks accepting a 5/16 inch (0.3125 inch) shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully in a collet or end mill holder to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth before operation. Verify spindle speed and feed rate against published cutting data for the specific workpiece material before starting the cut. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use and replace the tool if edge integrity is compromised.
