The SGS 07302 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit engineered for precision drilling in printed circuit boards and other tight-tolerance applications. It features a 0.8 mm diameter, a 130-degree four-facet point, and a regular spiral with a 30-degree helix angle. The uncoated solid carbide construction delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed when drilling small-diameter holes in hard or abrasive materials. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 0.4 inch flute length, this bit is sized for compact workpiece access. Machinists, PCB fabricators, and precision tooling technicians are the primary installers of this series.
The SGS 07302 is suited for use in CNC drilling machines, precision drill presses, and high-speed spindle setups where small-diameter hole accuracy is critical. Its material compatibility covers a broad range of substrates including aluminum, cast iron, copper alloy, stainless steel, titanium, cobalt alloy, nickel, plastics, and fiber-reinforced polymers. This makes it a practical choice for electronics manufacturing, aerospace component work, and general precision machining environments where multiple material types are encountered on a single production run.
Designed as a Series 105 circuit board drill bit compatible with CNC and manual drilling setups that accept a 1/8 inch round shank, for use in aluminum, cast iron, cobalt alloy, copper alloy, fiber-reinforced polymers, nickel, plastics, stainless steel, and titanium workpieces.
Installation is performed by machinists and precision tooling technicians using a compatible collet or drill chuck sized for the 1/8 inch shank. Secure the shank fully in the collet before operation and verify spindle runout is within acceptable limits to protect the small-diameter cutting edge. Solid carbide bits are brittle and should not be used in setups with excessive vibration or lateral load. Follow machine manufacturer feed and speed guidelines for the workpiece material being drilled.
