The SECURITRON -U.S. EPTL is an electric power transfer device designed to carry low-voltage electrical signals and power across a door hinge or pivot point. It eliminates the need for exposed wiring by routing conductors through a flexible loomed cord that spans the door frame-to-door gap. The long configuration provides additional reach for wider frames or applications where standard-length transfers fall short. Installation is handled by licensed electricians or access control technicians working on electrified door hardware systems.
The EPTL is suited for commercial door applications where access control hardware — such as electric strikes, magnetic locks, electric hinges, or request-to-exit devices — requires a continuous power path from the frame side to the door leaf. The long version accommodates installations where greater cord travel distance is needed, such as oversized doors or frames with non-standard geometry. It is sold as a single unit per package.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation component for commercial electrified door assemblies requiring a power transfer cord across the door hinge or pivot point.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified access control technician familiar with low-voltage door hardware. Power down the access control panel and any door hardware circuits before beginning work. Secure the cord away from pinch points along the door edge to prevent damage during door operation. Work should comply with applicable NEC requirements for low-voltage wiring and local AHJ guidelines.
