The SECURITRON M32FBD is a face-drilled electromagnetic door lock designed for access control applications in commercial and light industrial settings. Operating on dual voltage - 12 or 24 volts DC - this mag lock provides a reliable electromagnetic holding force to secure doors when energized. The face-drilled mounting configuration allows for clean, concealed fastener installation directly into the door frame or header. Licensed security and low-voltage electricians are the primary installers of this device, though it is also deployed by access control integrators and facility maintenance teams familiar with electromagnetic locking hardware.
The M32FBD is suited for single-door access control installations where a surface-mount or face-drilled electromagnetic lock is required. Typical applications include interior and perimeter doors in commercial office buildings, server rooms, and controlled-access corridors. The dual 12/24VDC input allows compatibility with a wide range of access control power supplies already in the field, reducing the need for additional power conversion hardware at the installation site.
Designed as an OEM-style electromagnetic door lock for single-door access control systems requiring a face-drilled mag lock with 12 or 24VDC input.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage electrician or certified access control technician in accordance with applicable local codes and NFPA 101 life safety requirements for egress compliance. Disconnect and lock out all power to the access control panel before wiring the lock. Verify that door alignment and armature plate positioning provide full surface contact before applying power, as gaps between the lock face and armature plate will reduce holding force significantly. Consult the authority having jurisdiction regarding fail-safe versus fail-secure requirements before final installation.
