The SECURITRON EPT is a standard electrical power transfer unit designed to route low-voltage wiring through a door frame and into a swinging door without exposed wiring or repeated wire flex fatigue. It bridges the gap between the door frame and the door itself, allowing continuous electrical conductivity for electrified locks, request-to-exit devices, card readers, or other access control hardware mounted on the active door leaf. Measuring 12.6 inches in length, the EPT installs cleanly along the hinge side of the door and is suitable for both new installations and retrofits. Licensed security and access control technicians are the primary installers.

The EPT is used in commercial and institutional access control applications where power or signal must be transferred from a stationary frame to a moving door. Typical installations include electrified mortise or cylindrical locksets, electromagnetic locks with door-mounted hardware, and card reader or REX device wiring.
