The SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC LR3D3363 is a thermal IEC overload relay rated for 63 to 80 amps at up to 690 VAC. It protects three-phase motor loads from sustained overcurrent conditions by using thermal sensing elements to detect heat buildup caused by excess current draw. When current exceeds the set trip threshold, the relay opens the control circuit and interrupts motor operation before winding damage occurs. Trip Class 10A provides fast response suited to standard motor starting profiles. Licensed electricians and industrial control technicians install this relay as part of a motor starter assembly in panel boards, motor control centers, and switchgear enclosures.
The LR3D3363 is designed for use with the LC1D80 and LC1D95 contactor models. It is suited to commercial and light industrial applications where motor overload protection is required in IEC-standard motor starter configurations. Typical installations include pump panels, conveyor drive panels, compressor starters, and HVAC equipment motor control enclosures. The relay mounts directly to a compatible contactor to form a complete starter assembly without additional wiring between the overload and contactor blocks.
Confirmed compatible with LC1D80 and LC1D95 contactors. Designed as a direct-mount IEC thermal overload relay for use in motor starter assemblies requiring 63 to 80 amp overload protection at up to 690 VAC.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the panel before mounting or wiring the relay. The relay mounts directly to the contactor block; verify contactor model compatibility before installation. Do not adjust the current setting dial while the circuit is energized.
