The SANDVIK COROMANT 5735610 is a solid carbide grooving insert designed for use in CoroCut 1-2 tooling systems. Carrying the ISO code N123F2-0300-RO 1125, this insert features a 3.00 mm cutting width, a maximum depth of cut of 18.70 mm, and a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process. The neutral hand orientation and positive rake geometry support efficient chip formation during external grooving operations. A corner radius of 1.50 mm and the RO chip breaker designation make it well suited for profiling and grooving passes where controlled chip evacuation is required. Licensed machinists and CNC lathe operators are the primary installers.
This insert is intended for grooving and parting applications on CNC turning centers and lathes. The CoroCut 1-2 series is commonly used in both production and job-shop environments for external grooving on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The insert size designation F2 corresponds to the F insert seat size and is matched to compatible CoroCut 1-2 toolholders. The maximum depth of cut range of 10.00 mm to 20.00 mm covers a wide range of groove depth requirements encountered in general turning work.
Designed for use with SANDVIK COROMANT CoroCut 1-2 series toolholders accepting an F insert seat size. ISO code N123F2-0300-RO 1125 and catalog number N123F2-0300-RO 1125 can be used to verify direct toolholder compatibility. No additional compatible model numbers were specified in the product data.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. The machine spindle must be stopped and the turret or toolpost must be fully indexed and locked before seating or removing the insert. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key as specified by the toolholder manufacturer when securing the insert clamp screw. Inspect the insert seat and clamp for chips or debris before seating a new insert to ensure proper contact and prevent premature edge failure.
