The ROBROY KNPAR-3-1/2 is a parallel-type conduit clamp designed to secure rigid metal conduit runs that travel alongside each other or parallel to a surface. Constructed from malleable iron with a hot dip galvanized finish, this clamp provides corrosion resistance suited to both indoor and outdoor electrical installations. At a 3-1/2 inch trade size, it accommodates standard RMC and IMC conduit of that diameter. Overall dimensions are 6-5/16 inches in length by 4-5/16 inches in width. Electricians and electrical contractors install this hardware as part of a complete conduit support system, following NEC requirements for conduit spacing and support intervals.
This clamp is intended for use in commercial and industrial electrical installations where rigid metal conduit must be supported or grouped in parallel runs. Typical applications include conduit support on structural steel, concrete, or wood framing in panel rooms, mechanical rooms, and general commercial wiring. The hot dip galvanized finish makes it appropriate for damp or wet locations as defined by the NEC. It is packaged 10 units per carton, making it convenient for projects requiring multiple support points along a conduit run.
Designed for use with 3-1/2 inch trade size rigid metal conduit (RMC) and intermediate metal conduit (IMC) systems conforming to ANSI C80.1. Suitable for installations requiring UL 6 and CSA C22.2 listed support hardware.
This conduit clamp is installed by licensed electricians in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes governing conduit support and spacing. De-energize all circuits in the area before beginning work on conduit systems. Use fasteners rated for the mounting substrate, whether structural steel, concrete, or wood. Do not over-tighten the clamp hardware to the point of deforming the conduit or clamp body.
