The RESIDEO ythx1200b6 is a non-programmable smart thermostat with an included RedLink wireless sensor, designed for residential heating and cooling systems including conventional and heat pump applications. It operates on 20 to 30 volts AC at 50/60 Hz and supports up to 2-stage heating and cooling in conventional mode, or 3-heat/2-cool staging in heat pump mode. The 7.27 square inch display provides clear readout of temperature and humidity. Current draw ranges from 0.02 to 1 amp for cooling and heating circuits and 0.02 to 0.5 amp for the fan circuit. Licensed HVAC technicians install this unit as part of a low-voltage control system upgrade or new installation.
This thermostat is suited for residential heat pump systems and conventional forced-air systems requiring advanced humidity and ventilation control. It supports dual fuel and auxiliary heat lockout configurations, making it appropriate for hybrid heating setups. The geofence capability and wireless indoor sensor allow for flexible placement and remote occupancy-based control. Where indoor air quality management is a priority, the unit can interface with a humidifier, dehumidifier, or ventilator. It replaces the THX321WFS3001W/U in direct-replacement scenarios.
Direct replacement for THX321WFS3001W/U. Designed for residential heat pump and conventional forced-air HVAC systems requiring low-voltage thermostat control with wireless sensor support.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician familiar with low-voltage control wiring. Power down the air handler or furnace at the breaker and disconnect the outdoor unit before removing the existing thermostat. Follow NEC guidelines for low-voltage wiring and verify system staging compatibility before connecting. Do not apply line voltage to the 24-volt control terminals.
