Product Description

The QUIETFLEX ss0760 is a pre-formed insulation sleeve designed to cover new or existing hard duct pipe, maintaining the temperature of conditioned air as it moves through the duct system. Rated at R6.0, the sleeve reduces heat gain and heat loss and limits condensation buildup on the exterior of the duct. The reinforced metallic polyester vapor barrier is built into the sleeve, eliminating the need for a separate barrier wrap. HVAC technicians and sheet metal installers use this product on residential and light commercial duct runs where hard pipe requires insulation.

The ss0760 fits a 7-inch duct and comes in a standard 5-foot length. It is suited for supply-side hard pipe runs in both new construction and retrofit applications where the existing duct lacks adequate insulation. The silver metallic facing is appropriate for exposed or semi-exposed installations in conditioned or unconditioned spaces such as basements, crawl spaces, attics, and mechanical rooms where duct insulation is required.
