The PFERD 21823341 is a single-cut carbide rotary bur with a tree-with-pointed-end head geometry, designed for precision material removal in metalworking and fabrication applications. The cutting head measures 0.125 inches in diameter with a cutting length of 0.25 inches and an overall length of 1.5 inches. The 0.125-inch shank fits standard die grinders and rotary tool collets. Rated to 95,000 RPM, it is suited for high-speed stock removal, deburring, and contouring work on a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The uncoated carbide head delivers consistent cutting performance across extended use cycles. Installed by machinists, fabricators, and tool-and-die technicians.
This bur is suited for use in machine shops, fabrication facilities, and maintenance environments where controlled material removal is required on hard or abrasive materials. The SG-41 industry specification designates it for application on annealed cast iron, grey and nodular cast iron, cast steel, case-hardened steels, hardened and heat-treated steels over 370 HV (38 HRC), brass, bronze, copper, hard aluminum alloys, and related hard non-ferrous materials. The pointed-tip profile allows access to tight radii, grooves, and contoured surfaces where flat or ball-end geometries would not fit cleanly.
Designed for use with die grinders and rotary tools equipped with a 1/8-inch collet. Suitable for material removal, deburring, and contouring on annealed cast iron, grey and nodular cast iron, cast steel, case-hardened steels, hardened and heat-treated steels over 370 HV (38 HRC), brass, bronze, copper, and hard aluminum alloys per the SG-41 industry specification.
Installation is performed by machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians using standard die grinders or rotary tools. Ensure the tool is fully powered down and unplugged before installing or changing burs. Insert the shank fully into the collet and tighten securely before operation. Always verify the tool RPM rating meets or exceeds the 95,000 RPM maximum rated speed of this bur, and wear appropriate eye protection and gloves during use.
