The PARKER V303C-6-6 is a brass drain cock shutoff valve with compression-to-compression connections sized for 3/8-inch tubing. It is designed to isolate or drain a section of tubing in low-pressure plumbing, HVAC condensate, or refrigeration piping systems. The body is machined from brass for corrosion resistance in wet service environments. A 3/8-18 thread size and a rated maximum working pressure of 30 psi make this valve appropriate for low-pressure drain and shutoff applications. Plumbers and HVAC technicians install this type of valve where a positive shutoff or manual drain point is needed on small-diameter tubing runs.
This valve is suited for residential and light commercial applications involving 3/8-inch OD tubing. Common installation scenarios include condensate drain lines, chilled water branch lines, refrigeration equipment drain points, and similar low-pressure fluid-handling systems. The compression fitting on both ends allows connection without soldering, making it practical for field installations where open flame is restricted or tubing is already in place. The minimum working temperature is 32 degrees F, limiting use to above-freezing service conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation drain cock shutoff valve for low-pressure plumbing, HVAC condensate, and refrigeration piping systems using 3/8-inch OD compression tubing.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the IPC. Shut off the water or fluid supply and relieve system pressure before removing or installing any valve. Compression fittings should be tightened firmly by hand and then snugged with a wrench — avoid overtightening, which can crack the compression sleeve or distort the tubing. Do not use this valve in systems that exceed 30 psi or where ambient or fluid temperatures may drop below 32 degrees F.
